1. It is absolutely essential for the efficient functioning of this Agency that the gentlemen proceeds to contact the lady as soon as possible after he has been notified from our Introduction Agency of a potential partner for him. He will be notified by our 'Introduction Department' which gives him the name and telephone number of his potential partner, her general description and common interests they may share.

2. A member who simply neglects to contact his potential partner is a serious hindrance to the efficient functioning of our Introduction Agency. Just imagine the confusion that would arise if some people did contact their potential partners and others did not while our Introduction Agency is under the impression that all of these introductions were being carried out.

3. Always bear in mind that you are merely being asked to contact this other member. Even if the person doesn't sound like your 'ideal' don't reject a chance for correspondence or a meeting with her. You may be pleasantly surprised.

4. Be considerate. If you agree to an introduction, carry through the plans unless some real emergency arises. Should this happen be sure to notify the other persons as soon as possible.
5. To gentlemen especially, dress up for the occasion of meeting your potential partner, first impression are lasting impressions.

6. After your first introduction, a gentlemen should not wait to hear from us before trying to arrange a second date if he wishes one. Find out for yourself if the lady wants to continue the acquaintance.

7. Our Agency will continue to provide you introductions upon your request until your membership expires, or you have told us that you have met a suitable partner. (Both parties must contact our office, either personally, by telephone, or by letter, to notify us that they want their names removed from our active files).

8. Be polite but firm. A lady (or gentleman) who doesn't want to continue a correspondence or an acquaintanceship should be prepared to break the news to the partner. Indicate as politely and tactfully as possible that more meetings wouldn't be welcome. Be gentle, but be truthful. I'm sure the other person involved appreciates honesty!

9. Keep us informed. Please be sure to notify us immediately if for some reason (absence, holidays, going steady, etc.) you do not wish to have any further introductions for the time being. We appreciate constructive feed back and will assist you in any way possible however...

10. Impatient letters or phone calls to our office won't help you to get more introductions. On the contrary by taking up our time, they will keep us from rendering real service to you. Do you realize that it takes less than one 3 minute phone call or one brief letter per week from each of, say 7,000 members to take up a full week of our time? The quality is what counts. If harmonious matches just aren't available for you at once, be patient. Tomorrow could be the day your most compatible partner joins our Agency. You can be sure that we are working for you, whether or not the results are immediately visible.
